We are ordering food from Blue Apron from last 6 months and we are loving it... I saved much of time
6 deliveries and only 1 showed up on the day it was supposed to. 5 were late.
One of the recipes had one tiny chicken breast to share between 2 people. Another of the recipes has 6 scallops for two people. And this is $30 a serving?! Please.
They can't even figure out how to ship the packages so they get to their destination on time. There's so much plastic in the packaging I'm surprised some greeny hasn't spoken up.
The produce is mediocre at best. Just make your own weekly menu and save a fortune. I'll probably save about $2000 a year not using this stupid service

The food is very good, better than what we would normally make. We are retired and basically eat two meals a day and do not want tons of leftovers, so Blue Apron fits into that.
Portions are great and taste is great!

I think your meal service is amazing. I'm impressed, much more than I thought I would be. I've gotten to try things I never would have tried on my own and learned techniques I would never have known about. I love cooking but I don't know enough to really put my own meals together (other than meat, potatoes, and veg), your meal service has allowed me to get a taste of being the chef I always wanted to be.
I used Blue Apron for 3 weeks and received 3 boxes of 3 meals for a total of 9 meals. Every single meal I cooked used multiple bowls, multiple pans, and utterly devastated my kitchen. The instruction are easy and clear to follow but dear lord, I can't stand the clean up. By the last box, I only cooked 1 meal and used what ingredients I could for other recipes.
We have loved most of the recipes we’ve received so far. We look forward to our boxes and the new recipes we will get to try. The only downside so far is that there is not a way to request foods without tree nuts. We have a severe allergy to these in our home and have had to give some recipes away because of this (because I didn’t catch it in the ingredients).
It is so nice to have dinners planned. Would be nice if the chef could cook them in my home (would be awesome) the food is delicious
This has been great. My wife has severe dementia, this makes for less shopping time. She can't be left alone in the car, wanders off in the store.
The food is always fresh and she enjoys eating it rather than anything else I cook, or bring home from take out.
Would like to have 5 days food instead of just 4.
The price is right on target, as what you get is great quality.

Generally, the spicing has TOO much HEAT. It can be very "hot" and when husband, who is learning to cook with Blue Apron, doesn't "get" how NOT to add too much - I am unable to eat the dinner - AT ALL. Please CAP the spices that add too much heat to the food, especially the grains.
But - he is learning to cook - which is a very good thing after 54 years.
It's super convenient. The dashboard is very easy to use. the mobile app is great as well for quick changes to menu items and even scheduling changes. We stayed at an Airbnb for 8 days and I was able to re-direct delivery there, which was AMAZING.
I'll admit that sometimes the meals can be a bit tired and that may be more about my constraints (wellness/WW) and that we've been subscribing for 2+ years now and there's only so much variety that's possible. I don't know.
You guys should just send the quantity needed of garlic. I have so much. It seems the stove temperatures are too high. I often burn stuff. Other than that you guys are great!
The recipes are easy to follow, food is always very good and deliveries are on time like clock work.
